We are seeking full-time EMT-Basic professionals who take pride in their work, communicate effectively, and understand the importance of being punctual, prepared, and patient-centered on every call.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport patients between healthcare facilities, private residences, and medical appointments
- Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) care within EMT-B scope of practice, prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and dignity
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, caregivers, dispatch, medical staff, and team members
- Respond promptly to radio and dispatch communications and follow operational updates as assigned
- Complete accurate, timely patient care documentation and run reports
- Maintain ambulance cleanliness, readiness, and safety at all times, including refueling, restocking, and post-call cleanup
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report issues immediately
- Demonstrate accountability for patient care responsibilities during all assigned shifts
Qualifications:
- Valid State of Texas EMT-B certification (Required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 150 lbs from ground to waist level (with assistance as needed)
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Prior EMS or patient transport experience preferred, but not required
