Sea School is seeking experienced maritime professionals to instruct U.S. Coast Guard-approved STCW Basic Training courses.
Qualified candidates should possess substantial operational, emergency response, or maritime safety experience and be capable of conducting professional classroom instruction and hands-on practical training.
Preferred Backgrounds
- Licensed Master, Mate, or Engineer
- Military maritime or damage control experience
- Commercial vessel operations
- Marine, municipal, industrial, or shipboard firefighting
- Maritime safety or survival instruction
- Prior Coast Guard-approved instructional experience
Preferred Qualifications
- U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC)
- STCW endorsements
- Experience conducting practical assessments and emergency drills
- CPR/First Aid Instructor certification
- Qualified Assessor (QA) approval or assessment experience
Courses Include
- Personal Survival Techniques (PST)
- Basic Fire Fighting (BFF)
- Elementary First Aid / CPR
- Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities (PSSR)
Applicants must possess sufficient maritime operational and instructional experience to qualify for approval within a U.S. Coast Guard-approved training program.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
