Duties
- Diagnose and repair marine engine systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic component.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, soldering equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to execute repairs
- Conduct electrical diagnostics with tools like ohmmeters and ensure wiring and electrical systems are functioning correctly
- Assemble new boat components or systems following detailed assembly instructions while adhering to safety standards
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs and maintenance needs
Skills
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles
- Skilled in rigging and light mechanic work
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, calipers, heavy lifting techniques, and precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to client.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
