Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bindery/Inkjet Operator to join our dynamic team. This role involves operating and maintaining printing and finishing equipment to produce high-quality print materials.
Responsibilities
- Operate inkjet printers and bindery equipment to produce printed materials according to specifications
- Perform minor maintenance such as oiling parts, cleaning paper dust, and tightening any loose bolts or screws
- Coordinate with production manager to ensure timely flow of jobs for the next step (department) in the process
- Transport materials to the next step (department) in the process, ensuring that all materials are accounted for. Residual materials should be boxed appropriately and travel with completed inkjet material and given to the plant manager for return to the customer
- Verify output matches project manager's specification on the work ticket.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols during all activities
- Perform all duties as assigned and any other duties
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent is desirable
- Basic reading and math skills
- Knowledge of sorting and bagging mail
- Have a sense of urgency and ability to work fast paced.
- Work well with others and be able to work in a team environment
- Basic understanding of machines
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including occasional Saturdays
