Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable tree climber/arborist assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tree care and landscape maintenance, with experience in tree climbing, operating bucket trucks and rigging techniques. In this position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and beauty of trees and landscapes, ensuring that our clients' outdoor spaces thrive.
Responsibilities
- Perform tree care services including pruning, trimming, and removal of trees as necessary.
- Operate bucket trucks safely to access high branches and perform necessary maintenance.
- Assess the health of trees and provide recommendations for care or treatment.
- Operate equipment safely and responsibly.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Educate clients on proper tree care practices and landscape management.
- Tree climbing. Experience preferred but willing to train. Not being afraid of heights is required.
Skills
- Proficiency in bucket operation for safe access to trees at height.
- Knowledge of tree care techniques, including pruning, pest management, and disease identification.
- Ability to climb or desire to learn how.
- Experience in landscape maintenance practices including lawn care and gardening.
- Ability to rig safely for tree removal or heavy branch lowering.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- A commitment to safety protocols while working in various outdoor environments.
- CDL is a plus.
- Tree climbing preferred but willing to train

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
