About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Antioch, TN. This leadership position is responsible for the overall operation of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, strong financial performance, and compliance with IHG brand standards.
The ideal candidate is an energetic hospitality professional who enjoys leading teams, driving revenue, maintaining operational excellence, and creating memorable guest experiences. This is a highly visible role requiring a leader who is equally comfortable working alongside the team and developing long-term business strategies.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Breakfast, and Guest Services.
- Lead, coach, and develop department leaders and team members through regular training and performance management.
- Deliver exceptional guest satisfaction while maintaining high guest review scores.
- Ensure compliance with all IHG brand standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Manage hotel financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, expense control, and profitability.
- Analyze STR reports, RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and other key performance metrics to maximize revenue.
- Partner with revenue management and sales teams to drive occupancy and market share.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain a high-performing team.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation meet brand expectations.
- Build relationships within the local community and represent the hotel professionally.
- Maintain accurate reporting, payroll, scheduling, and inventory controls.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and service recovery situations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hotel General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience.
- IHG brand experience strongly preferred.
- Select-service hotel leadership experience preferred.
- Proven success managing hotel financial performance and labor costs.
- Strong understanding of revenue management principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
- Ability to motivate teams and create a positive workplace culture.
- Proficiency with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as business needs require.
