Monday thru Friday 7am to 3:30pm
$25hr to $32hr depending on experience.
Company providing quick response electronic manufacturing services utilizing world-class manufacturing equipment, practices, and technology to product printed circuit board assemblies is seeking a Test Supervisor to join their team in Van Nuys.
Summary: The Test Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring a thorough understanding of each customer’s functional test procedures and the operational requirements of assemblies under test. This role manages test activities, supports troubleshooting efforts for test failures, and ensures appropriate rework is identified and implemented to achieve full functionality. The Test Supervisor communicates clearly and professionally with customers and internal teams, providing leadership, technical guidance, and training to maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary lead for test stations supporting complex electronic assemblies.
- Interface directly with customers during new product introductions to launch and validate test stations.
- Oversee and support troubleshooting and resolution of test failures to ensure product functionality and quality.
- Train, mentor, and qualify test technicians on specific test procedures and best practices.
- Compile, analyze, and report test metrics, including First Pass Yield (FPY), defect rates, and performance trends, to drive continuous improvement.
- Always adhere to ESC Quality System and Instructions.
- Perform tasks in such way that align with ESC Vision and Mission Statement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or related industry.
- Intermediate English speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in electronics testing and troubleshooting environment.
- Minimum 2 years’ of supervisory experience with a proven ability to lead, motivate, assign tasks, and communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and Automatic Test Equipment for hardware and software circuit fault analysis.
- Capable of adapting to daily workflow requirements and shifting production priorities.
- Proactively contributes new ideas to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Willing to assume additional responsibilities as needed to support team and business objectives.
- Exhibits integrity, strong character, and a disciplined, results-driven work ethic.
- Possess a detail-oriented professional with a positive attitude and a solutions-focused mindset.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written work instructions accurately and consistently.
- Must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or another related field.
- Understanding of IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
