Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide recommendations to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring proper presentation and safety standards
- Process sales transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and promote specials or featured drinks to guests
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food handling, food preparation support, bussing tables, and guest relations to ensure seamless service flow
Qualifications
- Prior food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and sales transactions
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs gracefully
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices in the food industry
- Experience with culinary techniques or kitchen support roles is a plus but not required
