Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Pricing Estimate Specialist to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects through accurate and competitive cost estimations. Duties
- Prepare detailed construction cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using estimating software such as HeavyBid.
- Utilize Bluebeam for reviewing and annotating digital drawings, ensuring all project details are accurately captured for estimation purposes.
- Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and material calculations to establish precise pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Collaborate with project management teams to develop bid strategies that optimize cost control and maximize competitiveness.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing terms while maintaining quality standards.
- Review contracts, change orders, and scope modifications to update estimates accordingly and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Support project managers during the bidding process by providing clear cost breakdowns and assisting in bid presentations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management processes.
- Proficiency with estimating tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam software for digital plan review and quantity takeoff.
- Solid knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, cost control practices, and project management principles.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites or within a construction management environment is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications, and contractual documents accurately.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting estimates clearly to stakeholders.
