Duties and Responsibilities

Lean Production
- Responsible for order fulfillment
- Accountable for all production work, duties, and tasks within the cell
- Responsible for ensuring and auditing that the cell is following standard work
- Responsible for maintaining progress from the lean road-map for assigned areas
- Responsible for ensuring cell 5S is implemented and audited
- Responsible for continuous improvement as an innovator of positive change that impacts the safety, profitability, inventory turns, on-time delivery, lead-time, and quality (effectiveness is measured primarily through predetermined metrics)
- Responsible for cross-training efforts to best support safety, quality, productivity, cost and schedule commitment
- Maintain and execute Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including set-up reduction, workplace organization, standardized work, process/workflow improvements, visual management, and inventory reduction
- Responsible for Inventory. Minimize or eliminate inventory write-downs
- Reviews daily/weekly reports, taking appropriate action as needed
- Performs monthly physical inventory and constantly maintains accurate inventory
- Submits periodic reports to Plant Manager
Safety
- Responsible for the daily shift startup meeting
- Attends and participates in required meetings. Always be on time.
- Participates in annual goals toward completion of FlashCo’s tiered safety plan.
- Provides input toward preventative maintenance programs.
- Completes and submits all work and reports accurately and on time.
- Minimizes freight expense and cost of running company vehicles, not sacrificing customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and clean plant including all other non-work areas.
KEY DELIVERABLES
- Safety - Participation in annual goals toward completion of FlashCo’s tiered safety plan.
- Inventory - Responsible for keeping controllable inventory adjustments less than TBD% of revenue
- Order Fulfillment - 95% of orders invoiced within 3 days
- Performance Management - Improve cell efficiency by Plant Manager’s outlined goals
- Development - Actively participates in own development plan by taking training courses approved by Plant Manager per quarter. Develop cell operators into Sr. Production and Operations Leaders

Qualifications & Skills:
· Light industrial metal fabrication experience: 2+ years. (required)
- Skilled in reading a tape measure (required)
- Operate hand tools such as grinder, drill, skill saw, etc. (required)
- Ability to read technical drawings, sketches, and documents (required)
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Desire to grow personally and professionally (required)
- Strong Computer and Tablet Skills (required)
- Excellent interpersonal skills. (required)
- Ability to perform routine maintenance (required)
- Ability respectively challenges the status quo (required)
- Manage your own time and the time of others (required)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills (required)
- Manufacturing and/or HVAC experience (preferred)
- Previous experience leading small teams (preferred)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Much of the work consists of conveying information verbally and in writing and working on a computer while sitting or standing for extended periods. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to sit, stand, and walk; use a finger, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands; talk and hear; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must have the ability to lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds with regularity. Use of arms above the shoulder is sometimes required. The employee occasionally may need to transport himself or herself to another office location in mild to inclement weather. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
