American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN with at least 1 year of recent home health experience and required OASIS and HCHB EMR proficiency to serve the Whatcom County/Bellingham area.

Geriatric adult patient population

Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
-
No weekend requirements

No on-call responsibilities
-
Average caseload of 5-7 patients per day with 6 visits daily
-
Minimum productivity requirement of 30 points weekly
-
Territory covers up to a 60-mile radius from the main office
-
Required to visit the main office weekly or biweekly for team meetings and to pick up supplies and admission packets

Traveler must be flexible with territory assignments
-
Active WA or compact RN license required, in hand
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of recent home health experience required

OASIS experience required
-
HCHB EMR experience required
-
Experience with adult home health documentation including admission assessments, recertification, resumption of care, and discharge planning
-
Skilled in wound care, medication administration and management, and pain assessment
-
Experience with IM, IV, and subcutaneous medication administration
-
Phlebotomy and IV starting/maintenance skills required
-
Knowledge of infection control precautions
-
Provide in-home nursing care to geriatric patients including assessments, wound care, and medication management
-
Timely documentation and communication with the care team required
-
Dress code requires scrubs of any color; jeans are not permitted

iPad provided for documentation purposes

Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
-
First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
