Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must have current Pharmacy Technician license in good standing.
- Must have more than 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic pharmaceutical calculations.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Exemplary organizational and time management skills.
- Dependable team player.
Responsibilities:
- Completes all duties as assigned by manager or Pharmacist in Charge.
- Assists the pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies using appropriate techniques.
- Understands drug terminology and can perform basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct dosage of medications.
- Complies with legal, regulatory and safety requirements.
- Assists and supports pharmacy staff with inventory management activities such as ordering, unpacking, checking and storing shipments of supplies and medications.
- Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment to ensure that all work areas, equipment and the overall pharmacy is performing at an optimum level.
- Participates in performance improvement, ongoing training and quality assurance practices.
- Completes special assignments and tasks as assigned in timely manner.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relations with coworkers and supervisors.
