Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving practices, as well as the ability to navigate various routes and handle deliveries with care. Responsibilities
- Operate and drive a van for the delivery of goods to various locations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured for transport.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is preferred but not mandatory for all positions.
- Experience in commercial driving, particularly with box vans, is highly desirable.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines effectively.
- A clean driving record is essential, along with the ability to pass background checks as required.
