Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Master Stylist / Barber to join our dynamic salon team. The Master Stylist / Barber will also contribute to store management, mentoring junior staff, and driving retail sales to enhance overall salon success.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions with precision and creativity
- Provide expert barbering services such as straight razor shaves and beard trims
- Apply advanced techniques like eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading to meet client needs
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with industry regulations
- Utilize salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking
- Deliver exceptional customer service by understanding client preferences and offering personalized recommendations
- Upsell retail products effectively through retail math and upselling strategies to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling payments
- Mentor junior stylists by sharing expertise in color theory, hair styling techniques, and salon procedures
- Assist with store management tasks such as inventory control, merchandising, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
Experience
- Proven experience as a Master Stylist or Barber with a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse skills in hair cutting, coloring, styling, and grooming services
- Proficiency in salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management
- Expertise in advanced hair techniques including hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices within a professional salon environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Experience in retail sales, upselling techniques, and retail math to maximize product sales opportunities
- Ability to mentor junior staff members while maintaining high-quality service standards
- Certification in Cosmetology or Barbering required; additional certifications in specialized services such as eyelash extensions or nail care are a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.20 - $27.94 per hour
