American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital position requiring 2 years of acute care case management/discharge planning experience and a CA RN license.

Acute care hospital setting in the Case Management department

Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
-
Patient ratios of 1:25 on weekdays and 1:45 on weekends
-
Weekend work required every other weekend to meet department needs
-
No floating required within the primary assignment, though floating between sister facilities nearby may be expected
-
13-week assignment length

Active CA RN license required (compact license must be in hand at time of submission)

Minimum 2 years of Acute Care Case Management/Discharge Planning experience required

Hospital experience required; behavioral health experience does not qualify

Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered

Epic EMR experience required

2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, which may include Charge RNs/Leads

Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, disease management, needs assessment, DME ordering, plan of care development, and prior authorizations

Familiarity with regulatory standards including CMS, Department of Health, DRG, and The Joint Commission/Core Measures/National Safety Goals is expected

Business attire or scrubs are acceptable dress code

Must be able to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront during the application process

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Only one submission to a Providence facility system-wide is permitted at a time
