Learning Together is a highly regarded preschool program serving children with and without special needs in an integrated setting. Preschool Children are taught by an early childhood Special Education Teacher with a team of 2 Teaching Assistants and are supported by a full staff of professionals. Learning Togethers staff include Speech Pathologists, OTRs, COTAs, PTs, PTAs, School Psychologists, Social Workers, School Nurses, an Instructional Leader, a Music Therapist and a BCBA.

General Education Teacher responsibilities include:
- Develop a teaching plan according to the child development and educational needs
- Improve social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve disagreements
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through active exploration of the arts (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
- Organize classroom activities and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Collaborate with other educators
The successful UPK Teacher candidate possesses:
- Experience or high interest to work with preschoolers
- Familiarity with all facets of Preschool Special Education
- Experience with preschoolers within a classroom setting
- New York State Teaching Certification, Birth to Grade 2
- Professional and Personal References required
