Stage orders for shipment according to shipping clerk and scheduler. Receive incoming shipments according to established procedures. Support the floor in all aspects of production regarding supplies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Supplies all departments with materials needed to keep production running and proactively seeks needs of various work areas.

Operates fork lift truck and/or hand lift truck to stage trays, cages, pallets, cartons, dollies, skids, cut material, and folded material to storage or work area.

Empties waste containers in each process area.

Separates and properly discards corrugated, printed material, miscellaneous garbage.

Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items.

Satisfies all Radius (system) recordkeeping requirements involving receiving, inventory, and WIP movement around the plant.

Uses RF Scanner to document and track material movement.

Performs banding, stretch wrapping etc. of materials for shipment.

Prepares and loads materials in a manner that will ensure safe delivery following job jacket and/or customer packing specifications. Acts as a double check that all paperwork pertaining to job is correct, CofA, BOL.

Properly labels all shipments.

Interfaces with truckers for outbound shipments; ensures all necessary documentation and samples are properly secured with outgoing shipments.
- Performs job duties in accordance with all federal, state, local, and company safety rules. This includes all FLT rules and machine checklists.

Maintains superior cleanliness of work area and common areas.

Performs other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

6-12 months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.

Must have the ability to read and write complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Must be able to pass a Line Clearance Test and Ruler Test.

Must have the ability to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.

Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Experience with RF scanners and bar codes is preferred.

Certified or licensed fork lift drivers preferred.

Must have good communication skills.

Must have knowledge of loading techniques.

Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.

Must be able to maintain good attendance.
