POSITION DETAILS
- Salary: $85,000
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – ~6:00 PM (occasional late evenings for events)
- Primary pick-up/drop-off: Park Avenue, New York, NY
- Additional residences: East Hampton, NY 11937 | Millerton, NY 12546
- Vehicles: Mercedes S580 Sedan and a 2026 Land Rover
SEASONALITY
Candidates must understand this is a seasonal rhythm (Schedule subject to change):
- Very light / infrequently needed: January, February, March, December
- Full-time in the city: April, May, June, September, October, November
- Slower months, occasional Hamptons/Millerton trips: July, August
WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES
This driver will be supporting both the client and his family, so they need to be comfortable wearing a few different hats:
- Driving client to and from his office, appointments, and events
- Running errands for client’s family - things like transporting artwork to and from galleries, driving her assistants, taking the housekeeper and dogs to vet appointments
- Delivering vehicles to their various homes and taking public transportation back
- Communicating comfortably with both client’s assistants
- Using Microsoft Outlook to stay on top of client’s schedule
- Basic car know-how is a client’s bonus but not necessary (e.g. being able to jump a car or swap out a battery, for example)
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
Prior military or law enforcement background regarding discipline, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Polished, professional demeanor - respectful, discreet, and ready to get things done
- Professional attire every day: a suit, or at minimum a button-down with slacks and a tie
- Available at short notice when client is in town
- Long-term mindset - someone who sees this as a career, not just a job
- Solid experience driving for private families on a consistent basis
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Clean driver license
- Salary $85,000/yr
