Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, and craft beers according to established recipes and standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner, offering drink recommendations and ensuring they feel valued.
- Manage bar inventory by restocking supplies, checking for freshness, and reporting shortages promptly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS while processing payments efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in developing new beverage recipes and enhancing existing drink menus to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
- Collaborate with the restaurant team to ensure seamless service during busy hours and special events.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender or in food service within the hospitality industry is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for processing transactions smoothly.
- Strong understanding of mixology techniques, beverage recipe development, and spirits knowledge.
- Experience with fine dining settings or catering environments is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage diverse guests warmly and professionally.
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, retail math understanding, and food safety compliance.
