Communications & Community Outreach Intern
This internship if from August 31st - December with potential to extend into the Fall Semester.
With a commitment to the employee experience, operational excellence and the customer experience, the Orange County Clerk of Courts has an opportunity for a talented individual to join our award-winning 400+ employee organization as a Communications & Community Outreach Intern.
This paid internship is an excellent opportunity for highly motivated and dynamic students interested in public service and event management. As part of the Communications & Community Outreach team you will gain hands-on experience working in a professional office environment, assisting with communications, social media outreach, and event coordination. The internship will provide valuable skills and insight into how local government interacts with the public through outreach and communication initiatives.
The highly qualified Communications & Community Outreach Intern we seek would participate in:
- Event Setup, Logistics, and Breakdown
- Social Media Content Creation and Event Coverage
- Outreach Preparation and Administrative Support
- Collaboration with Team Members
Requirements for the Communications & Community Outreach Intern:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, and Marketing or related field.
- Must be able to commit to 20-30 hours per week for the duration of the internship (6 weeks).
- Must be able to work on-site and at event locations, depending on the needs of the office and events.
- Must be able to work some weekends and evenings as needed for events.
- Must have experience in social media practice. Social media samples will be collected prior to the interview.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for event travel when necessary.
