Job description
We are currently seeking a professional Cabinet Finisher for day-to-day operations in our shop. The ideal person for this position will be a self starter, problem solver, with a high degree of technical expertise and demand for quality. Finish Point is proudly included in Knoxville's Top Workplaces for 2024 and we are looking forward to adding to our team! This position is not for hobby woodworkers or painters. Experienced professional finishers only please.
Responsibilities:
- Work from shop drawings and finish specs: (Oil based, acrylic, lacquers and other finish applications are used.)
- Applying finishes to various types of solid and engineered woods with consistency and quality.
- Manage production levels and projects in the finish department to keep production schedules.
- Work ethic, team attitude and positive energy: the work that we do can be tough and demanding at times. We need someone that maintains a spirit of optimism, fun and collaboration in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Have dependable transportation.
- Able to show examples of your work
- Provide at least 3 professional references
- Possess a great attitude, people skills and work ethic
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass drug screen and background check
- Experience spraying finishes. (Cabinet/Autobody/House Painting)
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, and moving materials.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must have full range of motion and be able to lift tools above shoulder height to work in tight spaces during installation
- Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Spacial awareness to work in a finished home and around finished products (without causing damage)
