Job Summary
Sunny Days Childcare is a Christian daycare located at Victory Church on Ballenger Lane in Columbia MO. We are looking for 2 lead teachers to serve our 1-2 year old room & 3-5 year old room. Your enthusiasm and dedication will foster a nurturing environment for young children. In this role, you will engage with children across various age groups, from toddlers to preschoolers, supporting their early childhood development through playful learning and attentive caregiving. Your positive energy and classroom management skills will help create a safe, stimulating space that encourages curiosity, social skills, and independence. Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children.
- Provide attentive care for toddlers, and preschoolers, including feeding, diapering, and nap times.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment by supervising children at all times and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily routines.
- Manage classroom organization, including cleaning up after activities and preparing materials for upcoming lessons.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings is highly preferred.
- Experience managing classroom activities in a daycare environment.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging learning experiences while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
