Express Employment Professionals is looking for a Skilled Trades Employment Specialist to join our team and help us grow our Skilled Trades recruiting division.
This position is a great opportunity for someone with a background in manufacturing, welding, machining, fabrication, maintenance, quality, or other skilled trades, but direct skilled-trades experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person who has the motivation, personality, and work ethic to succeed.
What You'll Do
- Recruit and interview candidates for skilled trades and manufacturing positions
- Build relationships with skilled trade professionals and local employers
- Learn to understand skilled trades positions, including welding, CNC machining, fabrication, maintenance, and manufacturing
- Match candidates with career opportunities based on their skills and experience
- Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process
- Develop and maintain a strong candidate pipeline
- Work with local businesses to understand their hiring needs
- Help develop new client relationships and job opportunities
- Maintain accurate candidate and client information
- Work as part of our recruiting team while taking ownership of the Skilled Trades division
What We're Looking For
We are open to candidates with a variety of backgrounds. Skilled trades experience is a plus, but it is not required.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Have experience in a skilled trade and are ready for a career change
- Have worked in manufacturing, welding, machining, fabrication, maintenance, quality, or production
- Have recruiting, staffing, HR, sales, customer service, or account management experience
- Enjoy talking with people and building relationships
- Are comfortable making phone calls and communicating with candidates and businesses
- Are organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Are motivated by goals and results
- Are willing to learn the staffing and recruiting business
- Have a strong work ethic and a professional attitude
- Want an opportunity to grow into a specialized recruiting career
Why Skilled Trades Experience Is Valuable
If you've worked in the trades, you already understand the environment we're recruiting for. You know what it's like to work in a manufacturing facility, what employers are looking for, and what questions candidates have about these jobs.
But we don't expect you to know recruiting. We'll teach you that.
For candidates without a trades background, we are looking for someone who is motivated to learn the industry and has the communication and relationship-building skills to become successful in recruiting.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
