Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems, refrigeration units, HVAC/R equipment, and electrical components to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes swiftly.
- Conduct appliance repair and installation across various systems, ensuring safety standards are met and equipment functions correctly.
- Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and maintenance schedules to track system health and compliance.
- Lead or assist with construction projects or upgrades related to mechanical or HVAC systems as needed.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize operational disruptions.
- Support maintenance operations by managing maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies inventory effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical systems repair.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units and air handling equipment.
- Experience with appliance installation, equipment repair, and general maintenance tasks in commercial or industrial settings.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building systems is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with leadership qualities to guide team efforts when necessary.
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures for complex mechanical systems and familiarity with safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
