Duties
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, cleaning, and monitoring health status
- Assist with pet grooming, bathing, and basic pet hygiene needs to keep animals comfortable and looking their best
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques during cleaning, feeding, and medical procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitation and disinfecting routines
- Engage in outdoor work such as walking dogs or supervising playtime to promote physical activity and mental stimulation
- Assist with pet sitting duties for clients’ pets when required, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with animals in veterinary clinics, kennels, or pet sitting environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of animal handling, restraint techniques, and pet grooming practices
- Experience with veterinary assisting or technician tasks is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting when moving animals or supplies safely
- Strong skills in dog training, pet care, and animal behavior management
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Outdoor work experience is beneficial for supervising outdoor activities and walks
- Capable of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced environment
