Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive. As a Host, you will manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and ensure smooth flow of guest traffic. Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with enthusiasm and professionalism, providing a positive first impression.
- Manage restaurant reservation systems, including booking, modifying, and confirming reservations efficiently.
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and reduce wait times using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or similar platforms.
- Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and provide accurate information about wait times or available seating.
- Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate wait times clearly to guests while managing guest expectations effectively.
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns politely and professionally, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Uphold food safety standards and restaurant policies while managing guest interactions and reservations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette.
- Proficiency in restaurant reservation management systems and POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS.
- Solid organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, seating counts, and guest billing processes.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.
