Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced sous chef to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist the kitchen manager and lead other cooks during peak service hours. You will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, coordinating service, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. You will also be responsible for leading the team when the kitchen manager is not present. Your support will help drive teamwork and efficiency during busy service hours while upholding strict adherence to health and safety regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce items consistently.. Working in a fast-paced kitchen, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our dishes while supporting the culinary team’s success. Responsibilities
- Prepare the ingredients and cook the menu items according to developed recipes..
- Supervise line cooks during shifts.
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment..
- Assist in inventory checks and stock rotation
- Ensure compliance with food-handling regulations, sanitation practices, and safety protocols across all food-service activities.
- Assist in coordinating private events and special meal preparations, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional service.
- Assist the Kitchen Manager in developing and implementing diverse menu items and nightly specials.
- Assist with scheduling, food costing, and supplier relationships.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fast-paced kitchen environments.
- Ability to follow recipes precisely.
- Mastery of various cooking techniques, knife skills, and plating aesthetics.
- Disciplined and proven ability to lead a team under high-pressure "rush" conditions.
Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
