Position Summary
Murry Strategic Consulting is seeking a Business Development Manager to identify, develop, and secure consulting opportunities with public and private organizations. This individual will be responsible for building relationships, generating qualified leads, coordinating proposal development, and managing the sales pipeline from initial contact through contract execution.
The ideal candidate understands consultative selling, enjoys networking, and is comfortable engaging with senior executives, HR leaders, and organizational decision-makers. This position is responsible for growing the consulting practice while maintaining the professionalism and reputation of the firm.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify new consulting opportunities through networking, referrals, outreach, conferences, and strategic partnerships.
- Develop relationships with HR leaders, executives, business owners, and public sector organizations.
- Research organizations experiencing growth, organizational change, leadership challenges, or workforce issues.
- Schedule discovery meetings with prospective clients.
- Represent Murry Strategic Consulting at networking events and conferences.
Sales Pipeline Management
- Maintain and manage the consulting sales pipeline.
- Track prospects from initial inquiry through signed agreement.
- Conduct follow-up communications with prospective clients.
- Prepare weekly pipeline and activity reports.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and client notes.
Proposal Development
- Coordinate client discovery information.
- Draft consulting proposals, scopes of work, and pricing documents.
- Customize proposals to meet client needs.
- Coordinate revisions and final proposal delivery.
- Assist with contract execution and onboarding.
Marketing Support
- Identify speaking opportunities and conference presentations.
- Build relationships with professional associations and industry organizations.
- Coordinate consulting-related content for LinkedIn and other professional platforms.
- Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness for the consulting practice.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact during the business development process.
- Ensure prospective clients receive timely communication.
- Support client onboarding after contracts are signed.
- Assist with client satisfaction follow-up and identify opportunities for additional services.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in business development, consulting sales, account management, or professional services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Experience developing proposals or responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) is preferred.
- Ability to build relationships with executive-level decision-makers.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Pay: $20,000.00 - $25,000.00 per year
