Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development and learning.
- Provide attentive supervision and care for infants, toddlers, or school-age children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and fostering respectful interactions among children.
- Maintain clear communication with parents regarding children’s progress, daily activities, and any concerns.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to respond effectively to emergencies.
- Assist with classroom organization, activity setup, and cleaning to create a welcoming learning environment.
- Safely transport children as needed, adhering to mandated reporting laws and transportation safety standards.
Skills
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience working with children of various ages in daycare centers or preschool settings.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and familiarity with mandated reporting laws.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, and team members in a professional manner.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Reliable transportation skills for driving children safely to activities or appointments when required.
