Established auto body repair shop is seeking a motivated Paint Prep & Buffer / Shop Assistant to join our growing team. This is a full-time position with opportunities to learn and grow in a professional collision repair environment.
Responsibilities
- Prep vehicles for paint by masking, cleaning, and sanding as instructed.
- Sand and buff painted panels using company-approved compounds, pads, and equipment.
- Remove swirl marks and perform final finishing to ensure a high-quality appearance.
- Wash, detail, and clean vehicles before final inspection and delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop and lot.
- Transport vehicles to outside vendors as needed.
- Assist technicians with other shop duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience with automotive paint prep, sanding, buffing, or detailing is required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
