Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and learning.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, using appropriate behavior management techniques.
- Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their progress.
- Create a safe and inclusive space for all children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience for students.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development, classroom activities, and any concerns.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience in daycare or preschool settings is highly desirable.
- Proficient in classroom management techniques to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Ability to develop engaging educational activities tailored to the needs of toddlers and preschoolers.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures to ensure the safety of all children in care.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is a plus.
