Director of Events & Bar Catering
Vino & Tap — Downtown Cary, NC
Vino & Tap is looking for an energetic, creative, and highly organized Director of Events & Bar Catering to help us build the next phase of our business.
Located in the historic Pasmore House overlooking Downtown Cary Park, Vino & Tap has quickly established itself as one of Downtown Cary’s premier destinations for wine, craft beer, champagne cocktails, and great events. We have had a tremendous response since opening — and we have big plans for what comes next.
This is not simply an event coordinator position. We are looking for someone who can build events, create experiences, develop relationships, and grow revenue.
What You’ll DoOn-Site Events & Private Parties
Develop, schedule, promote, and coordinate events at Vino & Tap, including:
· Private parties and customer rentals
· Corporate and social events
· Wine and sparkling wine tastings
· Live music and entertainment
· Food trucks and local food partners
· Special events and themed nights
· Party packages and customized experiences
You will help turn Vino & Tap into an even stronger destination for celebrations and events in Downtown Cary.
Off-Site Bar Catering
Help build and operate our new Vino & Tap off-site bar catering division, bringing the Vino & Tap experience to:
· Weddings
· Anniversaries
· Corporate events
· Private parties
· Rehearsal dinners
· Fundraisers and community events
· Other special occasions
Our off-site program will focus on champagne cocktails, curated wines, craft beer, and polished bar service rather than a traditional full-liquor catering bar.
You will help develop packages, respond to inquiries, coordinate staffing and logistics, work with customers, and ultimately grow this into a significant part of the Vino & Tap business.
Collectors Club Membership Program
Manage and grow the Vino & Tap Collectors Club, our membership program designed to build an even stronger community of wine lovers and loyal Vino & Tap customers.
Responsibilities will include:
· Growing and maintaining club membership
· Planning regular members-only wine tastings and special events
· Creating unique experiences and benefits for members
· Communicating upcoming events, tastings, and club opportunities
· Working with our wine partners to develop special tastings and offerings
· Building relationships with members and encouraging long-term engagement
We want the Collectors Club to become an important part of the Vino & Tap experience — giving our best customers a reason to visit often, bring friends, discover new wines, and feel like they are truly part of the Vino & Tap community.
Events + Social Media
Our events and marketing need to work together.
You will coordinate with our marketing team to make sure our events, Collectors Club activities, and catering opportunities are properly promoted through social media, email, and other channels — before, during, and after the event.
We want someone who understands that a great event doesn’t just create sales that day. It creates content, new customers, repeat visits, and buzz around the brand.

· Outgoing and comfortable working with customers
· Extremely organized and dependable
· Creative and full of ideas
· Comfortable selling events, memberships, and party packages
· Experienced with events, hospitality, catering, restaurants, bars, weddings, or a related field
· Comfortable coordinating multiple vendors and moving parts
· Familiar with social media and event promotion
· Excited about building something — not simply maintaining an existing program

Vino & Tap is still young, growing quickly, and has ambitious plans for the future. The right person will have the opportunity to build our events, catering, and membership programs and make them their own.
