Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and management, support residents with complex behavioral health needs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver integrated, person-centered care. This position offers autonomy in clinical practice, a supportive team environment, flexible scheduling, and consistent patient panels.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, mental status exams, and chart reviews.
- Diagnose and manage psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, dementia-related behavioral disturbances, psychosis, and mood disorders.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with state and federal guidelines, including OBRA regulations.
- Order and interpret labs/diagnostics relevant to psychiatric care and medication management.
- Provide education to patients, families, and facility staff on behavioral health conditions and treatment.
- Collaborate with Aeris team members, primary care providers, and facility staff to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.
- Document accurately and support quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in Minnesota with psychiatric-mental health specialty certification (PMHNP-BC).
- 1+ year of experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or similar post-acute setting preferred.
- Strong background in geriatric psychiatry, psychopharmacology, and behavioral health management.
- Familiarity with OBRA regulations and antipsychotic stewardship in LTC settings preferred.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
