Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries, directions, and support
- Conduct product demos and upselling to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cash register operations and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and participating in stock replenishment efforts
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse customers in a bilingual setting is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, giving correct change, and performing retail math calculations
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly desirable
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves and standing for extended periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for supporting team efforts during busy periods
