Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to assist in construction projects, ensuring efficient and safe site operations. Your expertise will help us meet project deadlines while maintaining the highest safety standards. Looking for a candidate that can be promoted to Foreman level and run civil job sites in the immediate future as we continue to grow.

Responsibilities
- Operate heavy construction machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and dump trucks to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material transportation tasks.
- Maintain and inspect equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow all occupational safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) diligently at all times.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including positioning machinery and preparing work areas.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine maintenance on construction machinery such as Caterpillar equipment, water trucks, front loader trucks, and farm machinery.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and site-specific procedures during daily operations.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and dump trucks on civil construction sites.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and minor repairs of construction equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and operate complex machinery safely and efficiently.
- Experience working on construction sites with a solid understanding of safety regulations and occupational safety standards.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving move trucks and end dumps is preferred.
- Knowledge of farm machinery, and other specialized construction equipment is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
