Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Appliance Installer to join our team. In this role, you will deliver, install, and test residential appliances while providing an outstanding customer experience. Previous appliance installation experience is preferred but not required—We are willing to train the right candidate, but successful installers are self-motivated learners who enjoy figuring things out. New appliances and installation situations arise regularly, so the ability to learn independently, read installation manuals, watch training videos, and solve problems on your own is essential.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and professionally install residential appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, wall ovens, cooktops, microwaves, washers, dryers, and more.
- Connect appliances according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.
- Verify proper operation by performing functional testing before leaving the job site.
- Educate customers on the basic operation of newly installed appliances.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Protect customers' homes during delivery and installation.
- Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, builders, and retail partners.
- Follow company procedures, safety guidelines, and manufacturer installation requirements.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn new skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to safely lift and move heavy appliances with assistance.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Self-motivated with the ability to learn independently and continuously improve.
- Takes ownership of solving problems rather than waiting for someone else to provide the answer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous appliance installation, delivery, construction, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or other mechanical experience.
- Experience working in customers' homes.
- Experience driving cargo van and/or a truck and Trailer.
- Manufacturer certifications are a plus but not required.

Expected Earnings: $1,000–$2,000+ per week
Commission-based pay with uncapped earning potential.
Employment Type
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Installers are compensated on a commission basis and are responsible for managing their own taxes and maintaining the requirements necessary to operate as an independent contractor. Successful installers have the opportunity to earn well above the typical weekly earnings based on productivity, quality of work, and customer satisfaction.
