Goffstown Green Thumb Garden Center & Store is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate.
The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive shopping experience for every customer. This individual should have strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills and work collaboratively with store staff, the Store Manager, Store Owner, and Office Manager.
Key responsibilities include creating a welcoming, friendly, and positive environment for every customer. The Retail Sales Associate will listen to customer needs, answer questions about our products and services, and provide helpful recommendations. A positive attitude, a team-oriented approach, and a genuine desire to help customers are essential to success in this role. The job is year round with more hours over the spring, summer, fall and Christmas, and fewer hours from January through March. Some Friday nights and weekend work are required.
Essential Functions & Duties
- Greet and direct customers
- Maintain a working knowledge of our products
- Operate POS system to check out customers
- Maintain standards of organization and cleanliness
Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrate strong sales and customer service skills
- A consistently positive attitude
- Ability to stay organized and manage time efficiently
- Able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry products in order to perform essential duties
- A working knowledge of basic computer skills including a POS system.
Job Types: Part-time; Nights and weekends required
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
