Overview
BrainHelp, Professional Nursing Corporation is a newly established outpatient telepsychiatry practice providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults throughout California. Services are delivered both telehealth and in-person visits.
We are seeking a collaborative psychiatrist to fulfill California physician collaboration requirements for one experienced Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). This is an ideal opportunity for a psychiatrist seeking a low-commitment, flexible collaboration with no routine patient care responsibilities.

Expected Collaboration
- Serve as the collaborating psychiatrist for one California PMHNP in accordance with applicable California laws, regulations, and the practice's standardized procedures.
- Be available for consultation by phone, secure messaging, or video conference as clinically appropriate.
- Participate in occasional case discussions involving complex or high-risk clinical situations.
- Collaborate on the development and periodic review of standardized procedures and clinical protocols as needed.
- No routine patient care responsibilities unless mutually agreed upon.
- No routine chart review unless required by the collaboration agreement or mutually agreed upon.
- No supervision of daily operations, staffing, scheduling, or billing.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted California physician and surgeon license.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry.
- DEA registration preferred.
- Experience collaborating with nurse practitioners is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative practice philosophy.
- Interest in supporting a growing outpatient telepsychiatry practice.
About the PMHNP
You will collaborate with an experienced Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of nursing experience, including inpatient psychiatry, psychotherapy, telepsychiatry, and academic clinical instruction. The practice emphasizes evidence-based, patient-centered care and values open communication, professionalism, and collaborative decision-making.
