Our practice is rooted in immigration law, and we are seeking to expand into criminal and family law to meet growing demand from returning clients and referrals from satisfied clients.
Position Summary
We're seeking an attorney to build and run our family law and criminal defense caseload, with capacity to take on a limited volume of removal defense matters (bond hearings, master calendar appearances, straightforward filings) as needed.
Responsibilities
● Manage full family law caseload: divorce, custody, support, protection orders
● Handle criminal defense matters: arraignments, pretrial motions, plea negotiations, trial as needed
● Represent clients in a supporting capacity on removal defense matters — bond/detention hearings, master calendar hearings, and related filings, under attorney supervision as needed
● Maintain regular court appearances across Hamilton County and surrounding jurisdictions
● Client intake, case strategy, and direct client communication
● Coordinate with firm principals on cross-referred matters (e.g., a family law client with an immigration issue, or a criminal matter with immigration consequences)
● Over time, develop and grow an independent client base within family law and criminal defense — the firm will provide marketing support toward this goal
Requirements
● Licensed to practice law in Ohio (required)
● Russian language proficiency (required)
● Licensed to practice law in Kentucky (advantage)
