ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
- Greet guests promptly and with enthusiasm to create a welcoming and engaging experience
- Educate guests on alligator biology, behavior, and safety
- Handle alligators safely and respectfully following Gator Beach protocols
- Prioritize the safety and well-being of both the animals and individuals involved
- Deliver presentations to guests about the alligators, pond, and overall park
- Provide tours to VIP guests to show them around the park, including the opening procedure
- Work collaboratively with other handlers and staff to deliver a seamless guest experience
- Complies with all Fudpucker’s policies and procedures as per the Employee Handbook.
- Other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent customer service skills including a pleasant and friendly demeanor.
- High school graduate or equivalent desired
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and remain calm under pressure
- Must be able to work flexible hours Monday through Sunday
- Must be 18 years or older
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
- Must be able to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours in length.
- Must be able to work at least 8 hours without a break.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and stand for long periods of time.
- Must have the ability to lift gators weighing up to 30 pounds frequently, following all safety procedures, and carry them up and down stairs.
- May be exposed to wet floors, noise, and temperature extremes.
- May be required to perform diverse physical tasks
- This an outside job, so high heat may be present throughout the shifts
