Duties
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation to ensure timely and delicious service
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety guidelines
- Handle food with care, maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation standards
- Serve meals to guests or customers, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Support catering events by preparing and presenting food items professionally
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of ingredients
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards
- Experience in restaurant or food industry settings is preferred
- Skilled in culinary techniques including knife skills and meal assembly
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
