About the Role
GeniusLaw is a legal technology and managed marketing company that partners with law firms nationwide. Our current expansion is focused in the foreclosure defense space, where we're growing into dozens of states, alongside other practice areas. We handle marketing, client intake, and document automation through our proprietary software engine, which provides case support operations, giving attorneys the infrastructure to grow without the overhead.
We're looking for an entrepreneurial attorney with their own firm to help facilitate that growth. This isn't a role that requires taking on significant additional work, it's about being business savvy enough to help us extend our operation smoothly from one state into the next. This is primarily a business development and operational role, tailored to your licensing and experience, with some limited legal guidance involved. You'll help ensure the local attorneys and firms in our network are the right fit for how we operate, while our team continues to identify and onboard new attorneys as we expand into new states.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate whether local attorneys and firms coming into the network are a strong fit for our program and how we operate
- Own the business relationship with local counsel in your assigned states
- Track network performance, file flow, and handoff quality across jurisdictions
- Help facilitate the easiest path for us to bring on attorneys in new states
- Bring your own firm into the network as an anchor point for growth in your licensed state(s)
Qualifications
- Must own and operate your own law firm
- Active license in good standing; California strongly preferred
- Civil litigation experience required, you need to know the lay of the land: filing, service, and general litigation mechanics
- Foreclosure defense background strongly preferred
- Active malpractice insurance required
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Entrepreneurial, comfortable building something rather than just executing
