General Service Technician
Location: McQueen Tire & Auto – Clintonville, OH
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (No weekends)
About the Role
McQueen Tire & Auto is seeking a dependable, motivated General Service Technician to join our team. We're a locally owned, customer-focused repair shop looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, values honesty, and enjoys working in a professional, team-oriented environment.
This position is ideal for a technician who is comfortable performing routine maintenance and light mechanical repairs while providing excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes and scheduled maintenance
- Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires
- Perform brake inspections and brake repairs
- Diagnose and repair steering and suspension components
- Test and replace batteries, alternators, and starters
- Perform basic A/C diagnosis and repairs
- Perform light diagnostics and troubleshoot common vehicle concerns
- Complete vehicle inspections and identify maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate repair documentation
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
- Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
Qualifications
- Previous automotive repair experience required
- Ability to perform brakes, suspension, tires, and general maintenance independently
- Basic diagnostic skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Own basic automotive tools
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing excellent customer service
- ASE certifications are a plus but not required
