Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check customers' identification to verify legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system accurately
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure a safe and enjoyable atmosphere
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for customers
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of various alcoholic beverages, brewing techniques, and cocktail recipes
- Excellent sales skills to upsell and promote drink specials
- Proficient in math for accurately measuring ingredients and calculating bills
- Familiarity with food safety regulations to ensure proper handling of beverages and garnishes
- Exceptional customer service skills to provide a positive experience for guests
- Experience using a POS system for order processing and payment transactions
- Hospitality mindset to create a welcoming environment for customers
- Basic understanding of retail math for pricing drinks and handling cash transactions
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments, such as banquets or events
