About This Role
As a Client Service Associate, you are the first point of contact for our clients and play a critical role in creating an exceptional banking experience. This position is primarily a teller role focused on accurately processing financial transactions while providing outstanding customer service.
Approximately 75% of the role is dedicated to traditional teller responsibilities, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, balancing cash drawers, and maintaining operational accuracy. The remaining portion of the role focuses on client engagement, relationship building, and identifying opportunities to refer clients to appropriate banking products and services.
You will use every client interaction to strengthen relationships, uncover financial needs, promote digital banking solutions, and connect clients with business partners who can provide additional financial guidance.
In This Role You Will
Teller Operations (Primary Responsibility)
- Process client transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier's checks, money orders, and account maintenance requests
- Accurately balance cash drawers and maintain proper cash controls
- Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, security standards, and compliance requirements
- Identify and prevent fraud while maintaining operational accuracy.
- Provide efficient service while ensuring an exceptional client experience
Client Experience & Relationship Building
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create positive client experiences with every interaction
- Conduct meaningful conversations to understand client financial needs
- Educate clients on digital banking, online banking, mobile banking, and self-service solutions
- Strengthen client relationships through needs-based conversations and proactive follow-up
Referrals and Cross-Selling
- Identify opportunities to refer clients for checking accounts, savings accounts, consumer loans, mortgage products, business banking services, wealth management, and insurance solutions
- Meet individual and branch referral goals through proactive client engagement
- Partner with branch bankers and specialists to deepen existing client relationships and acquire new clients
- Promote and cross-sell bank products and services that align with client needs
Risk Management and Operations
- Maintain compliance with all bank policies and regulatory requirements
- Support efficient branch operations while protecting client and bank information
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Flexible work week schedule, which may include Saturdays
