PASSIONATE ABOUT BREAD?
Wheatfields has an opening in the bread department for an artisan bread baker.
We make bread in an artisanal style using traditional methods and bake using a wood fired oven. Most of our breads are naturally leavened, with just a couple of dough's that use commercial yeast. The mixing position involves coming in at 3:00am to begin mixing the dough for the days shaping and taking care of our starters. Maintaining cleanliness is expected. We also are looking for someone to be on bench and shape bread with the rest of the team.
Experience is great but we will train the right person, whether you are a home baker, commercial baker, or just passionate about bread, please come in and inquire about the position or apply here on Indeed!
Mix shifts begin at 3:00am. This is a physical job, standing up to 8 hrs at a time, lifting up to 50lbs as well as pulling dough out of the 300lb capacity mixer. Bench shifts begin at 4:45am
