The EMT, under the direction of the Operational Medical Director, performs care appropriate to the patient population served and meets routine and life-threatening patient care needs. The EMT may be required to respond under routine or emergency conditions; assess the scene for hazards; triage multiple patients, especially in mass casualty situations; provide assessment, stabilization and treatment of life-threatening conditions utilizing skills within the EMT scope of practice, and within the protocols set forth by the Operational Medical Director. The EMT will also provide routine, non-emergent care and transportation to patients as needed by ambulance.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Virginia EMT certification required
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or recognized equivalent required for hire, AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required within 6 months of hire.
- VAVRS or VDFP EVOC required.
- Hazardous Materials Awareness required within the first year of employment.

Salary Range: $20.47 - $29.69 / Hour
