Metal shop-general helper (Houston)
We are a small but busy and growing company specializing in fabrication and occasionally installation of miscellaneous metals such as handrails and small stairs. We have been in business for over 18 years. We are looking to add a high energy, hard working member to our team. This position will be mostly shop based work, but will include some field installation and short term travel. Must have some basic hands on experience and be able to read a tape measure and handle basic power tools such as a grinder. Pay for this position is $14/hour with potential for advancement as skills grow. Many of our employees train and gain experience fitting/tacking and have the opportunity to train and advance toward welding positions within our shop with when they show enthusiasm for our work , effort to improve and continue to show potential as a ling term employee. Our goal is to have employees doing basic tacking/welding tasks within the first 3-6 months depending on their skill progression and our needs for additional welders at the time. Position/pay advancements possible at annual assessments or based on company space and needs throughout the year.

Standard Work Hours are Monday- Thursday 6am to 4:30pm. Overtime is available currently and will likely continue on an occasional basis
