Heavy Duty Starter & Alternator Co. — Automotive Electrical Technician / Rebuilder
One of Baltimore's oldest and most trusted automotive electrical suppliers is seeking an experienced Automotive Electrical Technician and Rebuilder to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair complex automotive electrical systems
- Rebuild and refurbish vehicle components such as starters, alternators, power supplies, and electronic modules to meet OEM standards
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues accurately and efficiently
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software to complete repairs with precision
- Interact directly with wholesale and retail customers, providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Requirements:
- Several years of hands-on experience rebuilding starters, alternators, and related automotive electrical components
- Familiarity with schematics interpretation and automotive diagnostic tools
- Mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Strong customer-facing and problem-solving skills — a true people person
