Bridgerland Technical College is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Innovation Zone Specialist to lead daily operations within our Innovation Zone. This is a multidisciplinary leadership role that blends technical expertise, education, business support, and facility management.

- Provide one-on-one and group guidance on business development, materials, and equipment use

Respond to client inquiries and build strong professional relationships

Foster a collaborative and supportive entrepreneurial community
- Oversee daily operations across multiple workspaces

Supervise staff, volunteers, and interns

Implement efficient workflows, safety procedures, and operational systems

Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and overall facility readiness
- Develop and teach courses on equipment, software, and business topics

Create clear training pathways for safe and effective equipment use
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of equipment and technologies

Research, acquire, and implement new tools and systems

Continuously learn and adapt to new equipment and software
- Support marketing initiatives across digital and traditional channels

Promote the Innovation Zone through events, outreach, and partnerships

Conduct tours and build relationships with local businesses and organizations
- Contribute to long-term planning and program development

Monitor usage, gather feedback, and identify growth opportunities

Assist with budgeting, resource allocation, and revenue development
- Maintain a clean, safe, and functional workspace

Improve systems, spaces, and overall user experience

Promote team morale and enforce safety standards
Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new tools and software

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to work independently and proactively identify needs
Preferred:

University-level coursework in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related fields

Experience with business startups, entrepreneurship, or R&D environments

3 years of experience in a makerspace, technical, or hands-on environment
